The more you know, the more you realize you don't know. The less you know, the more you think you know." - David T Freeman
I'm forever a student of the art. What works today may not work tomorrow so my students rely on me to stay current with what I teach. This is a daily effort of constant studying that I refuse to cut corners. It is also my responsibility to surround myself with the right like minded people with a proven track record of doing what is right. It's crucial to my students success and they deserve nothing less.
Thank you Professor Caio for the unexpected promotion. It was a complete pleasant surprise for sure. Truly an honor I'll never forget.
My learning doesn't stop here. This simply serves as a marker of my learning journey as a student... the time put into the art... and the blessing it is to be part of an amazing jiujitsu family with the highest level of technical knowledge while standing firm with their requirements of good character and morals.. My appreciation for all those part of my journey since the 90's hasn't changed.. my blackbelt I've worn for the last 4 years still holds my pants up... only now with a little extra bling provided by one of the biggest names in the bjj world. That's pretty awesome!
